Rose of My Cologne failed to make a dent int he top 75 this week, many fans putting it down to the withdrawal of the 2 disc sets by either the band or the label. A thirsd single from the album was planned – we await further information
With MANCHESTER’s surprisingly disappointing chart placing (41) The Band have decided to follow up their Top 10 Album’s release with another new single. Rose Of My Cologne will be released on 10th July and will featurethe B’Side Farewell
Sorry to those who signed up tp the Suitable Mouth purchasing of Superbi – I’ll be on holiday when it’s released and you’d be better off trying to get out and buying your own!

There will be no Irish dates in the upcoming tour to promote the Superbi album in May/June.

The Beautiful South return with a brand new album ‘Superbi’, on the 15th May 2006, preceded by a single ‘Manchester’ on 8th May 2006 both released on SonyBmg UK. The band will also be touring throughout the UK in May 2006.

So there’s a new album out in a couple of months time and The Suitable Mouth want’s to help it chart!
If you live outside the UK (or indeed within) and would like to help this cause please fill in your details below! The basic proposition is this…
Album sales abroad (eg Play.com, CD-WOW etc.) do not count towards album sales in the UK Charts. While they are often (by far) the cheapest option this doesn’t help the band as much – record execs like Chart Artists!
The Suitable Mouth – on the week of release – will go to the local record store and buy you a copy of the new album and ship it to you first class (I’ve weighed a disc and it should cost around £1.50 – if it’s not a double disc with exclusive DVD!!!).Â
This is NOT a money making venture – I will charge you what the record store charges me – and I will include the receipt!
